If you are thinking of removing Asbestos yourself, it may quickly degrade and cause copious amounts of dust, making removal difficult and dangerous. The dust is ingested easily through the mouth and nose penetrating the lungs and causing health problems down the track. Short period inhalations of Asbestos may result in the forming of progressive lung problems complications in the future. These include associated health risks such as lung cancer and mesothelioma.

It is important to consider where the asbestos is before removing – if it is deteriorating or is disturbed in any way, it is a good idea to get it removed. However, if it is undisturbed, then it may not need to be removed – it is still an option though!

The disposal and permits regarding the removal of Asbestos are costly and limited, not only for you but the landfills themselves.
