An Auckland home with a weathered, lichen-covered Super Six asbestos cement roof. JP Franklin removed the asbestos roof and replaced it with a new dark long-run steel roof – transforming both the safety and the look of the house.
Super Six asbestos cement roofing was used on thousands of Auckland homes. After decades of weather it becomes brittle and covered in lichen and moss – and harder to work on safely.
For this home, our team removed the Super Six roof using wet, whole-sheet removal methods, wrapped and disposed of the asbestos at a licensed facility, and installed a new long-run steel roof. The before and after photos show the difference: no more asbestos, and a roof that will protect the house for decades.
